Edin Dzeko could be heading to Italy this summer, as Roma look set to make a move for the Manchester City striker.
The 29-year-old is expected to leave the north-west this summer in order to play more football, after falling out of favour with Manuel Pellegrini towards the end of the season.
Roma have had a goalscoring problem this season, with Adem Ljajic and Francesco Totti netting just nine goals apiece.
The Bosnian himself has only struck 10 times for City this season but has found the net 72 times in total for City since joining in 2011.
According to Corriere Dello Sport, Roma boss Rudi Garcia believes regular starts could see a big goal scoring return from Dzeko and he has made him his top priority this summer.
Falling behind both Sergio Aguero and Wilfried Bony after his January switch from Swansea, the striker is now third choice at the Etihad and the club may look to cash in for a transfer fee of around £15-20 million.
The fee may prove a stumbling block to negotiations though, with the Bosnian also expected to have to cut his wage in order to play for the Giallorossi.
Another striker to leave?
Dzeko may be joined out of the door this summer by fellow striker Stevan Jovetic, who hasn’t played for City since March.
He has been largely disappointing since his £22 million arrival at the club in 2011 only making 11 Premier League starts and not finding the net since New Year’s Eve.
Also finding himself cut from the Champions League squad, Jovetic may leave to try and resurrect his career for a reduced fee of around £15 million.
