As reported by F4WOnline.com, the WWE have signed Kevin Owens to a permanent main roster contract that comes into effect immediately.

Having burst onto the main roster scene with a show stealing put down of John Cena last week there is no doubt that Kevin Owens showed his potential. With a permanent deal in place that potential will be more quickly reached - or so the WWE powers that be will hope.
This new development also adds further intrigue ahead of Owen's first WWE PPV match this weekend, and the idea of him defeating (or at least running close John Cena) doesn't seem quite so far fetched.
As for the consequences for NXT, well it looks like fans of the development brand won't have to wait too long for a new champion.
The idea has been mooted for a while now with many expecting Owens to reach the very top but it now looks certain that the title will change hands by the time of August's TakeOver event at the very latest.
The likes of Finn Balor, Sami Zayn, and Samoa Joe are all in contention to take the crown and it will be interesting to see how the creative team work in Owen's move to the next ladder of the WWE.
One thing is certain, though, WWE fans will be excited to see what Kevin Owens can bring to the table on a regular basis now that he is signed up and officially the newest full time member of the main roster crew.
WWE fans: How good can Kevin Owens be, and does he stand a chance against John Cena? Let us know in the comments below...
