The Philadelphia Eagles have an incredibly interesting season waiting for them in 2015.
The Eagles come into the new campaign with a new quarterback under center, a new starting running back beside him, and their best receiver from last year now playing for the Kansas City Chiefs.
But the mood still seems incredibly high in the Eagles camp, with one player guaranteeing that they were going to make the Super Bowl this year.
Eagles for SB50
Byron Maxwell wasn't even on the team last season, but the former Seattle Seahawks man spoke Jenny Vrentas of TheMMQB.com and apparently doesn't fancy losing that winning mentality from his time in Seattle.
Maxwell said that he has found the same “winning culture” that he experienced in with the Seahawks. He also said that he thinks his time in such a culture has him feeling like the Eagles are going to replace his old team at the top of the NFC.
“Experience. Because I’ve been there before,” Maxwell said. “Knowing what it’s like if we go that far. Because we’re gonna go that far this year — meaning the playoffs and the Super Bowl. We’re gonna go that far. Hopefully that experience I already had, I can help them.”
Maxwell added that you “can take that as a guarantee” because he has “no choice but to think that way” heading into the season. Eagles fans, meanwhile, will have to hope that his big talk works out a bit better than the last time a new member of the team crowned himself and his teammates before the any games were played.
"You can take that as a guarantee. That’s just me believing in my team and the product we’re going to put out there on the field. I really do believe that. I have no choice but to think that way," he said.
