Manchester United have re-entered the race to sign Arturo Vidal according to reports in Italy.
Arsenal have been linked with a move for the Chilean in recent weeks, but the Red Devils are now looking to pip their rivals to the post.
According to reports Vidal's agent, who also represents Alexis anchez, was at Wembley to watch Arsenal's FA Cup win over Aston Villa on Saturday amidst claims that he could be close to joining the Gunners - however Gazzetta dello Sport say that Manchester United are hoping to spoil the party.
The Red Devils have been linked with a move for the Juventus ace for some time now but were unable to get a deal done last summer because of doubts over a knee injury which required surgery before last year's World Cup, while his club were also reluctant to sell.
Their stance appears to have changed and according to Gazzetta an offer of £35 million would do the trick.
Red Devils enter Schneiderlin race
Manchester United are ready to rival Arsenal for the £25 million signature of Morgan Schneiderlin after Louis van Gaal identified the Southampton midfielder as viable alternative to Michael Carrick at Old Trafford.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Red Devils boss has set his sights on luring the France international to the Theatre of Dreams and is ready to meet the south coast club's valuation.
Both Arsenal and Tottenham have been linked with a move but Southampton are adamant they don't want to sell - however having blocked Schneiderlin from leaving last time the French international is seemingly keen on forcing an exit this time round.
"Yes, I think my decision is made," he said last week. "I learned a lot last season. The goal is to stay in England. It is a championship that I like and where I have a lot of fun. If I leave Southampton, it is for a club that plays better than the Europa League.
Fellaini denies Di Maria transfer remarks
Marouane Fellaini has rubbished previous comments attributed to him that in the French media which claimed he said Angel di Maria should join Paris Saint-Germain.
Reports surfaced over the weekend carrying quotes allegedly from the Belgian suggesting that Di Maria would be open to a move to the Parc des Prince. The Argentinian international has struggled badly in his first season in the Premier League and has been linked with a move away.
However Fellaini insists he was misquoted and wants Di Maria to stay put for next season. He tweeted: "Seems I have been misquoted from @telefoot--TF1 interview !!!!
"I said that Di Maria would be a good signing for any club as he is a great player. I also said if I were him I would STAY at @ManUtd."
