Serie A champions Juventus have reportedly pulled out of the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani as they don't have the financial backing to secure the deal.
The Old Lady have already began making summer changes, with Paulo Dybala arriving from Palermo and Sami Khedira reportedly close to agreeing a switch from Spanish side Real Madrid.
After winning their fourth consecutive Serie A title, Juve are now fully focused on this weekend's Champions League final, as they take on La Liga champions FC Barcelona in Berlin on Saturday. Both sides have won their respective leagues and cup competitions, with Juve winning the Copa Italia and Barca winning the Copa del Rey, but only one of them will be able to complete a treble.
Juve Summer Business
With one game left in their season, Juventus are already planning for next season and have already secured two signings. Dybala has snubbed a move to the Premier League in order to join Juve ahead of next season after scoring 13 goals this term for Palermo. The Argentine revealed that he chose the Serie A champions because he felt they wanted him more than other clubs.
Dybala was wanted by Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United, but after having formal talks with them all, he felt most wanted in Turin. As well as signing the striker, Juve have also reportedly agreed a deal with Khedira and the deal is close to being announced.
The German international is set to leave the Santiago Bernabeu on a free transfer at the end of the season after refusing to sign a contract extension and, despite interest from the Premier League, the World Cup winner has also chosen a move to Juve.
Cavani Interest Dropped
However, one person that won't be joining the Serie A giants is Cavani, according to talkSPORT. The Uruguayan is set to leave Paris after growing frustrated with his role out wide at the club, and Juve were one of the interested parties.
As well as Juve, Premier League sides are also monitoring Cavani's situation in France, but it's recently been revealed that The Old Lady are no longer in the hunt after signing Dybala.
Tevez To Stay
A further boost for Juventus is the news that Carlos Tevez has reportedly agreed to stay at the club for another year. According to Sportmediaset, Tevez has assured the club he will remain for another season before returning to Argentina next summer.
That means Juve will have four striking options so don't feel they need to add Cavani to the squad. The Uruguayan made his name in Italy with Napoli before earning a big-money move to PSG.
