CM Punk is out of the WWE and will never come back, but that doesn't stop people from talking about him.
It seems that even includes current WWE superstars who bring him up in interviews.
Darren Young - one half of the tag team The Prime Time Players - appeared on the Sam Roberts wrestling podcast earlier this week, where he talked about his coming out, how that changed everything for him and his current run in the WWE.
Whilst speaking about how he came out, Young decided to bring up CM Punk, and revealed exactly how the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion greeted him after Young "accidentally" came out to the world after being approached a TMZ reporter in an airport.
"One thing about Punk is - if I could talk about him just for a second - when he had his match with Brock Lesnar in 2013, that was a couple days before I made my announcement to TMZ," Young started off as saying.
"After his brutal with Brock Lesnar, he was all iced up and I hadn't seen him since I made my announcement. So he came up to me in catering and he told me to stand up in front of people. I stood up, he gave me a hug, and he said 'I'm proud of you. If you ever have your problems with anyone in the locker room, you let me know and I got your back.'"
Orton and Show
Young went on to add that it wasn't just Punk who backed him following the announcement, but Randy Orton and the Big Show who also gave a helping hand.
"That meant the most to me. Every interview I do, I always tell people, that meant the most to me. Randy Orton, Big Show, they all embraced me with love and that's something that I will always cherish and never forget," Young added.
