The former girlfriend of footballing superstar Christian Ronaldo, Irina Shayk, has criticised the Real Madrid striker in an interview with Spanish magazine Hola.
The Russian model didn’t speak directly about her former partner but seems to make her point clear in comments that may well have been related to the former Manchester United striker.
Rumours of the break-up occurring because of Ronaldo’s unfaithfulness were seemingly confirmed after the 29-year-old admitted: “It’s very simple. You have to be faithful to your other half and not have secrets.”
Reports claimed that the super-model found a collection of messages to the Ballon D’or winners winners phone from a number of other women.
The interview is the closest we have come to a confirmation that Ronaldo cheated on his long-term partner.
Irina Shayk started the interview by admitting: “Of course I prefer to be with someone, but with the right someone”.
When she was asked to characterise her perfect man she said: “He’s got to be kind, amusing and honest and he’s got to know how to treat a woman. And he’s also got to be faithful.” Even more hints that point toward Ronaldo’s devious past.
The Victorias Secret model continued: “Both should share the same concept of what a relationship means and the same energy to believe in a monogamous relationship.”
Brazilian model Andressa Urach made the first claim that Ronaldo had been unfaithful in 2013 after she claimed Cristiano had cheated on Irina with her.
Ronaldo dismissed Urach’s claims at the time as “pure fiction and forgery”.
Ronaldo has scored an impressive 313 career goals and will now be battling to regain the La Liga title off local rivals Barcelona next season, all under the stewardship of new manager Rafa Benitez.
Ronaldo has previously dated English models Gemma Atkinson and Alice Goodwin before his relationship started with Shayk in 2010.
