Morgan Schneiderlin sparks transfer rumours with cryptic tweet

Published 1 Comments

Southampton's Morgan Schneiderlin could be set to launch a transfer scramble for his signature following a revealing tweet from his personal account.

The French international posted a picture of himself enjoying some post-season beach sun with the tweet "Somewhere on Planet Earth...Thinking about what the future holds...#VacationTime".

Schneiderlin's comments are likely to re-ignite rumours of interest in him, with Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United all keen on the defensive midfielder.

Alongside the interest from within England, Schneiderlin's performances on the South Coast have also led to rumoured interest from Paris Saint Germain.

Schneiderlin looked set for a move away from Southampton during last season's transfer window, with Tottenham and Arsenal both prepared to pay £20 million for the player, however the player was persuaded to stay on at Southampton.

Schneiderlin has been a key player during Southampton's impressive three seasons in the English top flight, offering excellent balance between defence and attack, but with the development of Victor Wanyama and James Ward-Prowse could mean Scheiderlin's time is up.

His transfer fee is likely to be lower than last season, however even at £15-20m he would be an ideal signing for any of England's top sides.
