Bayern Munich defender Dante has ruled out a move to Manchester United, insisting he is happy to remain with the Bundesliga champions.
The Brazilian international lost his first team spot under boss Pep Guardiola this season and there has been some speculation that he could be on his way out of the club.
Manchester United have been suggested as a potential destination, however Dante has moved to dismiss the claims.
"[I see my future] with FC Bayern," he told the official Bundesliga website. "I've been playing here for three years now and I know every single day how fortunate I am to be able to play for such a big club. I enjoy every day here.
"Just think, I've been in at least the semi-finals of the Champions League and the DFB-Pokal Cup in each of these three years, and won the Bundesliga each time.
Bayern Munich strolled to the Bundesliga title last season but were knocked out of the Champions League at the semi-final stage while Borussia Dortmund stopped them from claiming the DFB-Pokal Cup.
Manchester United meanwhile bounced back into the Champions League at the first time of asking after missing out last season under the guidance of Louis van Gaal. The Dutchman is likely to be active in the summer transfer window in an attempt to bolster his squad ahead of their return to Europe and will target reinforcements at the back.
Valencia centre-back Nicolas Otamendi has been suggested as Van Gaal's top centre-back target with Mats Hummels seemingly set on staying with Dortmund for the foreseeable future. Barcelona's Dani Alves is reportedly a target at full-back with Nathaniel Clyne likely to remain with Southampton - and with Dante off the market Alves seems to be their top target.
Van Gaal is likely to also go after a forward to bolster his attack after Radamel Falcao returned to Monaco after his loan spell came to an end, while he could also add a midfielder and a goalkeeper if David de Gea does indeed leave.
The rumours about Dante were always likely to be just that - rumours. Manchester United do need to find a viable full-back option but whether the Brazilian is the one is unlikely.
Alves would make a better short-term option while Manchester United search out a solution for the long-term.
