Arsenal's 4-0 victory over Aston Villa in the FA Cup final saw the Gunners clinch a second trophy in 12 months, after enduring a barren spell that had lasted almost a decade.
It was a convincing performance with some of Arsenal's big money transfers, and also home grown talent, producing a spectacular display. Mesut Ozil battled well and made things happen, his desire to win evident throughout.
Alexis Sanchez as usual put in an amazing performance, scoring the best goal of the game. Hector Bellerin, a rising star at Arsenal, shone in the match by getting on the ball as much as he could, causing trouble for Villa's defence. Arsene Wenger started Theo Walcott up front instead of regular Olivier Giroud, a good decision as it proved as the Englishman caused nothing but trouble for the Villa back-line. An amazing end to the season, and a well deserved one at that.

The second consecutive FA Cup title victory has left Arsenal fans wanting more. This summer Wenger has the job of moving along some of the 'deadwood' in order to bring in fresh competition. Some positions quite clearly need strength adding.
To really push on next season Arsenal should look at bringing in a quality addition in goal. It's important to stress that Arsenal already have two really good goalkeepers and so the addition must be world class. The obvious target for Wenger this summer is Chelsea's Petr Cech.

Definitely available this summer as the player wishes to play first team football on a more regular basis, Cech is an ideal target for the Gunners.
Arsenal's Per Mertesacker, despite scoring at the weekend, is getting older now and Arsenal should think seriously about replacing the German. Possible targets for the Gunners include Mats Hummels or Emanuel Mammana of River Plate as a younger, unproven option.
Arsenal need a player that is willing to do the dirty work whilst letting the more creative players flourish. Arsenal have had it this season in Francis Coquelin, an essential part of their success, but need more quality adding to compete with Coquelin for that starting place.
Arturo Vidal or Sami Khedira would fit into this position and this Arsenal team with ease, adding serious quality to the line-up.
Olivier Giroud has been vital this season for Arsenal but for a long time the Gunners have failed to address the need to add a world class centre-forward. Edison Cavani should find himself right up there on Wenger's shopping list as the PSG forward would bring a considerable number of goals to the Emirates.
These additions this summer would really put Arsenal in the position to pose a serious threat to Chelsea's Premier League title next season.
