Barcelona full-back Dani Alves has been at the forefront of a lot of speculation regarding his future with the Champions League winners over the past few months.

But it was announced today that he has signed a new two-year-deal with the Catalan giants, according to The Guardian.

The Brazilian has been plying his trade at the Nou Camp since 2008, after signing from Sevilla.

The 32-year-old has attracted much attention from Europe's elite sides since the contract dispute started earlier this season; AC Milan being the latest big-name club to be linked with a potential move for him.

The defender has been constantly overlooked by current Brazil boss, Dunga since their embarrassing performance at last summer's World Cup.

Would have been the perfect farewell

Many believed the Champions League final could have been the last game that Neymar and Dani Alves ever play together on the same team.

Neymar was moved to leave an Instagram post, displaying the bond he and his compatriot have developed in the two years they'e been together at the treble winners and national side.

The heartwarming photo of the pair was translated to say:

"That person there is one of the most responsible because I was living that dream ... My friends , companion , partner and brother !!!"

Neymar will be relieved and delighted they have at least another two years in each others company.

Could this be the biggest bromance in football? Or is there a stronger partnership around? Give us YOUR opinion in the comment box below!
