Radamel Falcao scores for Colombia after Juan Cuadrado cross

Football News

If reports are to be believed, Radamel Falcao and Juan Cuadrado could soon be lining up with each other for Premier League giants Chelsea.

Well, on the international scene, they seemingly already have quite the relationship, as they combined to help Colombia overcome Costa Rica this past weekend in a warm-up for the Copa America.

In a star-studded Colombian side, including the likes of James Rodriguez, Jackson Martinez and Co., it was Manchester United's former misfit Falcao who scored the only goal of the game, as he tapped home to continue his fine scoring streak for his country.

It was Chelsea's Cuadrado, however, who made the goal, as he produced a fine turn on the right flank, and delivered a sublime ball across the edge of the six yard box.

There's no doubt about it, the Colombian faithful will be overjoyed to see Falcao and Cuadrado produce the goods after their struggles in recent months.

Of course, Falcao's torrid season at Manchester United has been well documented, while Cuadrado has failed to settle to life at Stamford Bridge after joining the club in January.

One thing's for sure, both players will be hoping to find some form in the upcoming tournament, before quite possibly heading to West London as teammates on the club scene.

Risky business

If Chelsea really do complete the signing of Falcao, and keep hold of Cuadrado, then Jose Mourinho will have it all to do to get both players firing in the blue shirt.

At the end of the day, Falcao looked way off the pace in England's elite division last term, and would surely struggle to star on a regular basis at the Bridge, especially with lethal striker Diego Costa plying his trade for the club.

Cuadrado, on the other hand, will most certainly have to learn from his opening couple of months on English soil if he's going to reach his potential. One thing's for sure, it looks set to be an interesting season for both stars.
