The WWE has a problem - according to its older stars - that current day Superstars are using the moves of legends.
It's not the fact that they are using the move, no, it is the fact that they are not being used as match finishers that is annoying and fuelling the perceived disrespect.
One just has to look at John Cena, who is now using a form of stunner popularised in the WWE by Stone Cold Steve Austin. Austin expressed annoyance that Cena isn't using the Springboard Stunner as a finisher, just a setup to his own finishing move the AA. And that happened again today.
Todays upset superstar is former WWE supremo Bully Ray - formerly known as Bubba Ray Dudley in WWE - who is pretty damn ticked off with former Wyatt Family members Luke Harper and Erick Rowan.
Harper and Rowan are starting a run in the tag team division after a bit of a failed venture as singles stars and had their first match on RAW as a unit, coming up against the completely awful Los Matadores.
Naturally, Harper and Rowan got the win against the jobbing tag team and they used The 3D - or Dudley Death Drop - as their double team finishing move, a move that was made famous by Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley in the WWE during the Attitude Era.
Bully Ray wasn't having that and called out WWE on Twitter for having the team use the move.
Not long after, Harper replied to the Dudley and said that they would accept a match "anytime, anywhere" to show them 'The Way', which is what Harper and Rowan are calling the move.
Dudley would go on to reply to Harper and basically called out Vince McMahon by dropping his "brass ring" reference that Vince loves to spout so often.
It would be great to see Bully Ray and D-Von back in the WWE for one last match. The team were much loved during their run in the WWE and a return would be epic, especially when you consider the reception Bully Ray got when he returned at Royal Rumble and using the 3D to take out some of his competitors.
