WWE: Dudley Boys set for epic feud with Harper and Rowan?

Erick Rowan and Luke Harper returned to the WWE ring last night on Monday Night Raw as they took on Los Matadores in tag team action, but it is the finish of the match that has caused the most waves in the wrestling world.

Rowan and Harper hit a member of Los Matadores with a variation of 3D (Dudley Death Drop) which was made famous by The Dudley Boys in their time with WWE. Harper and Rowan are calling the move The Way as they continue to follow their creepy Wyatt Family gimmick.

It seems the WWE Universe are not the only ones who noticed the move either, as Bubba Ray tweeted the following this morning.

Many of the WWE Universe retweeted the tweet and agreed with it, but Luke Harper then decided to reply.

This led to a response from Bubba which called on the powers that be to intervene:

This has caused many of the WWE Universe to take to social media in anticipation of what could be one of the biggest tag team matches in a long time.

Could it happen?

Bubba Ray appeared as a surprise entrant in this year's Royal Rumble match and would be open to a return if WWE put a deal on the table, whilst Devon was rumoured to have been backstage at the same event and could also be open to a one-match return to WWE for what would be a classic matchup.

Harper and Rowan currently have no one to feud with in WWE and have been out of the tag division for a while. When they were together before their biggest rivals were The Shield but they have since split up. They were left out of this year's Elimination Chamber match as well in what was a shocking twist of events, probably because realistically they would defeat all the teams in there.

Why would WWE allow them to use such an iconic move? It is not likely that WWE could allow this to go under the radar. Harper and Rowan could have used any finishing move and they choose one from a tag team that is currently bouncing around in the background of WWE. There are too many coincidences for this to have been an accident.

There is a feeling around WWE that there could be a rivalry down the line for these two tag teams. With Money in the Bank and the July 4th live supercard show coming up before Battleground as far as the near future goes, it is a rivalry that could easily be set up.
