Barcelona may be embargoed with regards registering players until January, but they can still sign them. Real Madrid, meanwhile, are, well, Real Madrid and will surely be linked with the Copa America's breakout performer.

Here are some players that could be under consideration from the Clasico rivals...

Sergio Aguero

One player who has been linked with Madrid over a period of time is Argentina’s hit man Sergio ‘Kun’ Aguero. Madrid and Florentino Perez have been huge admirers of the Manchester City forward with them looking to take Aguero to the Bernabeu and become the next ‘Galactico’.

Argentina are favourites to win this summer’s tournament in Chile and Madrid will be watching Aguero closely as he hopes to put the pain of last year’s World Cup final defeat behind him and help his team win the tournament.

Marquinhos

Barcelona have been interested in the Brazilian centre-back for the past year since he earned himself a move to the Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain after a string of good performances at Roma.

The Catalan side feel that they need to add youth in their defence with the Brazilian only being 21, he can operate as a right back or his favoured position of centre-back so he would perfect for the Champions League holders.

But will a contract extension for Dani Alves and the recent acquisition of Aleix Vidal put paid to this one?

Radamel Falcao

Colombian striker Falcao is looking for a new club after failing to impress on loan at Manchester United last season. Madrid had been heavily linked with Falcao last summer before he moved to Old Trafford.

The forward possesses a lot of talent and his record for previous clubs Porto and Atletico Madrid shows justifies it. But the form of old deceived him at Old Trafford and he turned out to be a flop under Louis van Gaal.

Falcao would work well at Madrid with Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo on either wing feeding him the ball. Rafa Benitez would be able to acquire the forward at a cut price with Monaco looking to get him off their wage-bill.

Ezequiel Garay

Another player that could interest Luis Garcia at Barcelona is Argentina’s rock Ezequiel Garay. The centre-back, who is current plying his trade in Russia at Zenit, has been on the radar of many top European clubs in the past few years since excelling at Benfica.

Garay would slot in perfectly at Barca with the possibility of him playing alongside or just behind international compatriot Mascherano. The defender wouldn’t come cheap and Zenit would be looking for a big fee if they were to sell up.

Jackson Martinez

Colombia’s Jackson Martinez will be hoping to fire his nation to glory at this year’s Copa America. The forward has been in excellent form for Porto, scoring 21 goals in 30 games ,and he will be hoping to take that form on international duty.

Clubs will be keeping an eye on the striker with a potential move at the end of the tournament on the cards.
