Liverpool want to sign Manchester United flop Radamel Falcao this summer, according to the Independent.
Citing reports from Le10Sport, it has been claimed that the Merseyside outfit could make a move for the Coombian forward in the near future, as Brendan Rodgers and Co. go about improving their strike-force at Anfield.
Falcao, of course, endured a torrid campaign on English soil last term, as he failed to produce the goods for Manchester United, scoring just four goals under the Louis van Gaal regime.

It appears, though, that despite his struggles, Liverpool are interested in securing his services on a one-year loan deal, but they're certainly not alone in the race to land him.
Of late, of course, Liverpool's Premier League rivals Chelsea have been credited with interest in the Monaco man, with Blues boss Jose Mourinho recently hinting that the club could bring him to Stamford Bridge.

There's no doubt about it, a move to Anfield would prove a slightly controversial one for Falcao, who was given a great deal of support from the Manchester United faithful last season despite his struggles.
It's clear, though, that the forward has a point to prove to Van Gaal and Co., so perhaps he would be tempted with a move to Merseyside, as he goes about getting his career back on track.
But, if Liverpool do land him in this window, then it would most certainly prove a risk for Rodgers and Co. At the end of the day, the Colombian appeared to be way off the pace at the Theatre of Dreams last term, and showed little sign that he could get back to his best in the near future.
Perhaps, though, under a new manager, the striker could reach his great heights of old, but things must dramatically change for him.
Let's be honest, though, it may well prove a risk worth taking for the Liverpool hierarchy. The club's strike force endured a nightmare campaign in 2014/15, with Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert failing to produce the goods for the club.
Daniel Sturridge, on the other hand, struggled on the injury scene, while wide-man Raheem Sterling often had to occupy the striker role.
Danny Ings, who is set to join the club from relegated Burnley, will hand Rodgers another option going forward, but the fans clearly crave a top name to lead their attack. Perhaps that really could be Manchester United's former number nine.
