Cristiano Ronaldo scores superb hat-trick against Armenia

Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo produced an individual masterclass against Almeria for Portugal on Saturday night.

The 30-year-old scored a superb hat-trick - the third goal was an absolute rocket - and produced a breathtaking piece of skill that is guaranteed to go viral.

The three-time Ballon d’Or winner cut back past one defender, dragged his foot over the top of the ball past another and then produced a cheeky back-heeled pass to a teammate. (Scroll down to see the video).

Ronaldo took his tally to 55 international goals - netting his third hat-trick for his national team in the process - to leave Portugal a significant step closer to securing their place at next summer’s European Championships in France.

His first of the night came on the 29th minute from the penalty spot, before two more goals in three second-half minutes put Portugal out of sight.

It was another sensational individual performance from one of the greatest footballers of all time, despite the fact Armenia have picked up one point from their Euro 2016 qualification campaign so far.

Without him, it's fair to say Portugal would have struggled to even qualify for next summer's showpiece international tournament.
