Petr Cech is set to meet with Chelsea officials to discuss his future at Stamford Bridge later on today, but it’s expected that he will inform them of his desire to leave the club.
According to Sky Sports the Czech international is interested in the idea of moving to Premier League rivals Arsenal, although his current club will only consent to going down that route if the deal suits them.

Given his reputation as a world-class stopper Chelsea are reluctant to sanction any move that would see Cech offloaded to a strong Premier League club, though Sky claim it’s possible they will negotiate with Arsenal if a home-grown player is coming the other way.
Soon to be over
In any case it’s a situation sure to be sorted sooner rather than later, with Cech having flown back from Iceland following international duty in a bid to resolve his future.
He’s reportedly come to the conclusion that he does want to leave, and so one can expect the speculation to hit overdrive in the coming days prior to the opening of the summer transfer window.
An experienced Premier League star with a glittering reputation, Cech would certainly bolster Arsenal’s title bid next term, which is partly why Chelsea would be so reluctant to let him leave the Emirates Stadium.
With neither Wojciech Szczesny or David Ospina having proven themselves in the Arsenal goal-mouth Gunners fans will certainly hope that they can land Cech, even if it means they have to relinquish the services of one of their own players in return.
Wenger could well feel the same, but Mourinho’s ambitions very much appear to be heading in the other direction.
Chelsea fans, is there any chance Mourinho will let Cech leave for Arsenal this summer? Let us know in the comments box below.
