FC Porto striker Jackson Martinez hasn't agreed to join Serie A side AC Milan just yet, according to his agent.
Reports emerged late last week that the Colombian has chosen to join the Italian side over the likes of Arsenal or Liverpool, but his agent has reiterated that nothing has been decided as of yet.
News broke about a potential move to the San Siro after the Porto president revealed in an interview that Martinez has his heart set on a move to Milan, but that's something that the striker's agent has quickly dismissed.
The Colombian international will be leaving Porto this summer, ending his three-year association with the club, and he's attracted interest from AC, Arsenal and Liverpool, with the Gunners favourites to sign him.
However, things then took a twist after the interview with the Porto president.
“Before going on vacation, Jackson announced he wanted to leave,” Da Costa told Porto Canal.
“The €35m clause is not up for debate and must be paid. I learned just now that Jackson has chosen Milan.
“This is what he wants, the destination is irrelevant as far as I am concerned. I want him to be happy.”
Agent Rubbishes Reports
However, Martinez's agent has confirmed that nothing has been agreed yet and no move is concrete.
“Jackson didn’t say anything about Milan because there was no need to. Nothing has been decided yet,” agent Luiz Henrique Pompeo said.
“I am the only person who will speak about this during the tournament.
"Jackson is not just sitting around on his couch at home. He is concentrated on his work with Colombia in the Copa America.
“This is his absolute priority right now and I can say he is absolutely relaxed.”
These latest comments will give both Arsenal and Liverpool a massive boost as they both search for new strikers over the summer.
