It was announced on Monday night Raw that Seth Rollins would face his biggest test to date when he takes on former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar at next months Battleground event, with the title he currently possesses on the line.

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon made the announcement, telling Seth that The Authority felt he still had something to prove.

Rumored plan

This has lead to a lot of speculation online and around social media as to how this will lead into Triple H vs Seth Rollins at Summerslam. Could Seth finally be the one who defeats Brock with the title on the line?

The current rumoured scenario sees Seth Rollins overcome all the odds and defeat Brock in five weeks time before the newly crowned Mr Money in the Bank, fresh of a victory over Randy Orton, makes his entrance and Brogue Kicks himself a WWE World Heavyweight Championship before aligning himself with The Authority.

Seth will then turn face, given the battle that he will have overcome against Brock, there is no way that he wouldn't turn face as soon as The Authority turn on him. This will then leave Triple H and Seth to figure out their differences and it would see a showdown at the biggest party of the summer.

Other theories suggest their match at Summerslam could be for the title, who better than Triple H to finally humble Rollins? If Seth did defeat Lesnar then he could spend the weeks after bragging about the victory until Triple H can take no more.

It would have been interesting to see Seth as a heel heading into Summerlslam and seeing if he could be the monster heel WWE seemed to be building him to be.

Moving forward

The pedigree will ultimately decide the match, but it would be a lot more convincing to see Seth Rollins come out on top and then secure himself as one of the top heels in the company, but then WWE are in the same position they were with Brock, which is, who defeats him for the title? Maybe Sheamus can cash in later in the year?

Even though there are a few holes in WWE's latest plan, it makes sense that The Shield are all back on the same page in time for Survivor Series.

It seems The Authority will once again be at the forefront of the planning for the traditional elimination match and instead of John Cena, we could finally see all three members of The Shield on the same side since Payback last year.

Right now WWE is busy planning for the July 4th Network Supercard show where Brock Lesnar will take on Kofi Kingston. Either this is a plan for Seth Rollins to cost Brock the win, or it's where Lesnar will send a message to Rollins about how dominant he still is.

All that is known for sure is that Seth Rollins will be given his biggest test in less than three weeks time and it's not believable that he can beat Brock alone right now, so WWE need to do some building in order to change that.
