AS Roma manager Rudi Garcia is hoping midfielder Radja Nainggolan will snub a move to the Premier League in order to stay put in Italy.
The Belgium international has had yet another stunning campaign in Serie A with Garcia's side, and has attracted the interest of a whole host of clubs, including a trio of Premier League sides.
According to reports, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are all interested in signing the 27-year-old and have been monitoring the midfielder for several months.
Nainggolan was crucial to Roma last season and helped them achieve a third-placed finish, but speaking ahead of plans for next season, Garcia has admitted that he is desperate to keep hold of the midfielder as he relies on him for the upcoming campaign.
Garcia Eyes Nainggolan Stay
"Nainggolan is a true force of nature," Garcia said.
"He's got an exceptional mentality and a winning character. He is a leader.
"I'm counting on him for next season."
The powerhouse midfielder has been at Roma for just a season now, after completing his move from Serie A rivals Cagliari.
Nainggolan spent a season on loan in Rome, making 17 appearances and scoring two goals, but has since secured a permanent move and has now gone on to make 35 appearances, scoring five goals.
Premier League Interest
As for the Premier League trio, they are all expected to have busy summer transfer windows, with all three of them predicted to spend big money in order to fulfil their goals for the new campaign.
United are expected to spend nearly £200million after finishing fourth in the Premier League this season and returning to Champions League football. Meanwhile Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur want to spend big in order to bridge the gap to the top-four in England, after they both just missed out last season, finishing sixth and fifth respectively.
Nainggolan's future is currently unclear, but according to his agent, it looks like he will remain in Italy for now, until a certain Spain club come calling.
Agent Drops La Liga Hint
Nainggolan's agent, Lodovico Spinosi, has told Spanish media that a move to Real Madrid would be of interest to his client and it certainly would change things if they made a formal move.
He said: "I think Nainggolan will stay at Roma for now but when it comes to Real Madrid things can change.
"[Roma president James] Pallotta knows that Nainggolan is very important and that he will have many offers for the player."
