Cristiano Ronaldo is currently relaxing in the Bahamas but feels annoyed with Real Madrid for five different reasons.
This is according to Spanish newspaper AS, who understand the three-time Ballon d’Or winner is not entirely happy with recent events at the Bernabeu.
Ronaldo made no secret of the fact he wanted Carlo Ancelotti to stay at Real Madrid - and it seems the Italian coach’s replacement, Rafael Benitez, hasn’t got off to the best start with his star player.
Ronaldo is bothered by the fact Benitez made an effort to introduce himself to Gareth Bale - who was in action with Wales earlier this month - but did not go to see him.
Furthermore, the Portugal captain is perturbed after learning Benitez wants to play him as a centre-forward from the start of next season, not from the Spanish coach himself but from the press.
Ronaldo's birthday party & doctor
Aside from Benitez, Ronaldo is also unhappy with Real Madrid for failing to protect him from the fallout after his controversial 30th birthday party in February.
Ronaldo was criticised for going ahead with his party, which took place hours after Real Madrid’s humiliating 4-0 defeat to local rivals Atletico Madrid.
The fourth reason Ronaldo is annoyed is because he doesn’t want Jesús Olmo as the main doctor at the Bernabeu. Cristiano and his fellow key teammates were keen to see Pedro Chueca back in charge instead.
Treatment of Casillas and Ramos
And finally, Ronaldo is concerned about the club’s treatment towards Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos, two of Real Madrid’s longest-serving players. He fears the same might happen to him in the forthcoming years.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Ronaldo has felt unhappy at Real Madrid, and most of these issues are likely to be resolved in time for the start of the new season.
But all the time he remains unhappy, expect the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain to be monitoring Ronaldo’s situation closely.
