Arsenal have signed Romanian wonderkid Vlad Dragomir, who has put pen-to-paper a three-year deal with the Gunners from ACS Poli Timisoara.
This is according to a report from Pro Sport in Romania, who have obtained images of Dragomir posing with an Arsenal shirt and signing his contract.
Little is know about Dragomir outside of the player’s home country, but reliable Romanian football journalist Emanuel Roşu has likened the teenage star to the world-class Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba. (To watch the exciting Dragomir in action, click play on the video below).

Why Dragomir chose Arsenal
The transfer was personally completed by Dick Law, Arsenal’s operations director of transfers, and the Gunners will pay ACS Poli Timisoara €100,000 in compensation for the gifted teen who turned 16 on April 24.
Inter Milan were also keen on Dragomir, but the youngster has opted for a move to Arsenal due to Arsene Wenger’s reputation for giving young players opportunities.
It’s imperative that Dragomir and other talented players his age pick the right option: failure to do so can often result in their careers stagnating.
However, due to the intense competition for first-team places at the Emirates Stadium it’s unlikely fans will see Dragomir playing for Wenger’s side - unless he is a truly exceptional talent - for several years yet.
First summer signing
The Romanian will continue to learn his trade with the club’s youth coaches and could find himself loaned out before being considered ready to compete with Arsenal’s star midfielders.
Dragomir becomes Arsenal’s first summer signing, with Petr Cech’s arrival from Arsenal still to be confirmed.
The Chelsea goalkeeper has agreed terms with the Gunners, while it’s understood that a fee between the two clubs has also now been agreed, and an announcement is expected within the forthcoming days.
Cech’s arrival is of huge significance for Arsenal, but who’s to say the acquisition of Dragomir won’t prove to be just as important for the Gunners in the future?
