The first episode of the highly-anticipated WWE TV show Swerved which was produced by Jeff Tremaine of Jackass fame, aired last night on the WWE Network.
The show was a welcome change to the regular style of WWE programming followers of the industry are used to, with a number of segments seeing several big names in professional wrestling set-up with ideas coming from the professional prankster himself; Jeff Tremaine.
For one WWE superstar however, the airing of the show caused him to feel extremely disrespected by the company because of how his partner was portrayed.

Darren Young was involved in a part of the show which involved being presented with a microphone during an interview which had an awful smell on it while the interviewer denied there was anything untoward in relation to the microphone.
When the episode aired however, it was clear that the face of Darren Young's partner was blurred out by the show, with no clear indication as to why this happened.

What is clear however, is Young's anger at the show's action, as he tweeted the following in response to his partner's face being unseen:
"Swerved by @WWE but 2 blur my man's face is totally disrespectful 2 me! Why? It wasn't done on #WWEUnfiltered"
Having made reference to another similar WWE spin-off show in which his partner's face was visible, it is clear that neither Young nor his boyfriend had said to the crew of Swerved that he did not want to be seen on the show.
WWE as a result will need to explain why this move was taken which, as necessary as it is, is unfortunate as it has marred in what was in many ways a highly-entertaining episode.
Dolph Ziggler was the ideal WWE superstar to be in on the joke as he co-presented a segment which involved the likes of Alex Riley, Tom Phillips and Zack Ryder suffering an electric shock from the stool they were sitting on during an interview with Ziggler about the best moments in WrestleMania history.
As well as this, Renee Young was filmed carrying out a part of the show which involved faking a cookery show with the likes of Booker T, Xavier Woods, Natalya and Cameron.
Just when these WWE superstars were laughing and joking along with Renee, they were asked to lift up a silver vector food cover to get some more ingredients, only to find Hornswoggle hiding beneath it ready to make them jump, much to the amusement of their co-chef as well as the crew who were in on the joke.
Despite Darren Young's anger, the first edition of the show was certainly entertaining and WWE will only hope to be able to rectify their actions with Young so the programme is able to continue to be as entertaining as its debut epsiode.
