Tonight's episode of RAW saw some of the best moments in recent weeks as the episode had a blockbuster main event and first real encounters between Finn Balor and Kevin Owens.
Balor and Owens clashed twice as Owens tried to cost the number one contender his match with Rhyno in the main event.
Owens and the manbeast would try to beat down Balor following the main event only for Samoa Joe to emerge and come to the aid of the number one contender.
The biggest segment of the show however came at the very start as we saw the return of Hideo Itami to the NXT arena.
Itami has been missing since he was filmed injured by his car just hours before NXT Takeover Unstoppable.
Itami returned and two things his return interview were made clear which could shape the long term future of NXT.
It was first announced that Itami's doctors have claimed that he is still set to be out of action for another 3 to four months.
Although it means that Itami won't be back in action for a long time, he is still setting his sights on the big match between Kevin Owens and Finn Balor at the July 4th special in Tokyo, Japan.
Itami claimed that he doesn't care who wins and that he will be there to challenge the champion for the NXT Championship.
It seems that despite his injury, Itami has his eyes on the championship and on his return, he will be going straight into the title race.
Victorious in Japan?
The big match between Balor and Owens on July 4th is already highly anticipated with many feeling that it will be when Owens finally loses the championship.
Balor has seemed destined for the NXT Championship since his debut and he could now be on the path to it.
Either way, a future feud between Balor and Itami would be incredible with the two friends going one on one fr the richest prize in NXT.
