Such is the state of the current injury crisis affecting the WWE main roster that you could make a half decent event card comprising only those wrestlers currently on the sidelines.
At least though, in the modern era, those Superstars out of action are able to update fans as to their condition a little more regularly than in the past when a solitary Vince McMahon piece to camera was about all you got.
So with Tyson Kidd taking to social media today to upload a post-surgery photo from his hospital bed the image is sure to be a hot topic amongst the WWE Universe. From the dramatic state of the star you can see why.
Long before Tyson Kidd was spotted in a brace attending Dusty Rhodes' funeral there were rumors that the star had suffered some type of neck injury. This was confirmed by Kidd himself earlier this week as he told fans he'd be heading for serious surgery.
The image below is the aftermath of said surgery and it is great to see the wrestler at least appears in high spirits despite the dramatic scene around him.
Reunion on hold
What is also great to see is that Cesaro, Kidd's tag team partner of late, was there by his bedside just hours after the procedure was completed.
Unfortunately, the duo are unlikely to be reunited in the ring any time soon. Although Kidd may have deemed the fusion neck surgery a "success" in the message accompanying his photo post the kind of issue he was treated for means a lengthy lay off ahead.
Only yesterday we reported that the surgery - similar to that performed on Stone Cold Steve Austin in the past - is likely to require at least 14 months of rehabilitation before Tyson Kidd can even think about competing.
Having enjoyed success in the early part of 2015 as tag team partner to Cesaro that is a huge blow for both wrestlers.
At least, though, the surgery has been completed without any complications. When you consider the fragile area of muscles and bone going under the knife that is a huge boost for all involved.
It has also been reported that Natalya, Tyson Kidd's partner, will be taking some time of from her WWE commitments to aid the wrestler in his recovery.
