The New Orleans Saints have been involved in one of the most talked about trades so far in the off-season in the NFL.
The Saints sent star tight-end Jimmy Graham to the Seattle Seahawks meaning that one of the best offensive weapons in the league is no longer with the Saints.
One more run?
The Saints went 7-9 last season and were a part of the disastrous NFC South which saw none of the four teams earn a winning record.
The link up between quarterback Drew Brees and Graham were one of the main reasons for the Saints relative success last year.
The relationship was certainly behind much of the Saints' success in recent years and losing Graham really could be disastrous for the team.
Despite the loss of their top receiver, Brees is remaining confident about the chances of the Saints tasting glory once again.
The 36-year-old quarterback may be ageing but still has hopes of lifting the Vince Lombardi trophy once again.
"I’m very convinced. It’s what drives me and keeps me going,” - Brees when asked if he thinks he can win another Super Bowl
It is great to see that Brees is as optimistic as ever about his chances of winning the championship once again, but the Saints still have a long way to go.
New Orleans couldn't best the Carolina Panthers in their division last year and they have even further to go if they are aiming to best the Seattle Seahawks at the top of the NFC.
The Saints really struggled last year and they lost out on the divisional title after the Carolina Panthers were the team to make it to the post-season.
Therefore the Saints first priority has to be returning to the play-offs and having a chance to even make it to a Super Bowl.
