Petr Cech will have a medical today ahead of his move to Arsenal. The 33-year-old has agreed terms and is expected to be unveiled as an Arsenal player shortly. Chelsea are believed to have negotiated an £11 million fee for the goalkeeper.
The Czech ace is said to have agreed personal terms with the Gunners and a fee has been thrashed out with Chelsea, meaning the deal is now a formality.
Cech has been with Chelsea since joining from Rennes in 2004 and has helped the club win four Premier League titles, four FA Cups as well as the Champions League. However he lost his first team spot to Thibaut Courtois last term after the Belgian returned from a loan spell with Atletico Madrid and made just six Premier League appearances last time round.
The veteran goalkeeper is said to have an agreement in place with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich which enables him to join whichever club he chooses, and now the BBC is reporting that the deal is is almost over the line and should be finalised by the end of the day.
Salah demands wage increase to join Fiorentina
Another Chelsea player expected to leave is Mohamed Salah and according to the Telegraph the winger is hoping to seal a move to Fiorentina.
Salah spent last season on loan in Florence and wants to return, however his £2.1 million wage demands could be a problem. Fiorentina have the option to take him on loan for next season for a fee of £700,000 however the deal is in the balance because Salah wants more money.
The Egyptian was a big success during his six months in Italy last season, scoring six goals in 16 league appearances while helping the club finish fourth and reach the semi-finals of the Europa League.
He's been linked with a host of other Italian clubs including Roma and could now instead make a permanent move there.
Chelsea to miss out on Costa
Chelsea have been dealt a blow in their alleged pursuit of Douglas Costa after it emerged that Bayern Munich are on the verge of announcing the £25 million capture of the Shakhtar Donetsk playmaker.
TalkSPORT cites a report that featured on German radio station Sport 1, which claims the Bundesliga champions have successfully secured the Brazil international's signature.
Pep Guardiola has been heavily linked with an attempt to lure the South American to the Allianz Arena, and it now looks as though he's beaten old foe Jose Mourinho to the player's services.
