WWE: Three incredible potential feuds for Randy Orton

Published 3 Comments

Ever since his feud with Seth Rollins came to an end, Randy Orton hasn’t really been involved in anything relevant on television which is are for a star of his status.

He defeated Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 31 after completing a face turn prior to the event, and that loss helped Seth Rollins capture the WWE World Heavyweight Championship whilst it did very little for The Viper.

Randy Orton did have two more title matches against Rollins. The first he lost at Extreme Rules inside of a steel cage before coming up short at Payback in the Fatal 4 Way match which also included Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns.

Since then, the likes of Rollins and Reigns have moved on to new feuds and have impressed, whereas Orton has done very little and is off-screen once more.

It is strange to not see Orton on television when he’s fit, as he isn’t currently injured but a man of his talent needs to be in engaging feuds and on screen every week.

It’s clear that the fans don’t really want to see Randy Orton working with Sheamus, which is what we will probably be seeing upon his return at Battleground but after that Randy Orton needs to step up because sooner or later he could be replaced by hungrier superstars.

One name that fans will call for is Kevin Owens. He’s currently in a feud with John Cena and could potentially take his United States Championship and defeating John Cena clean in the middle of the ring in your first match on the main roster is not a bad way to start your WWE career.

He’s definitely caused a stir, and he continued to entertain in his own unique, no nonsense way and it’s proving to be successful for him. The fact that he’s targeted John Cena makes it even more interesting because John Cena has helped carry the WWE just as much as Randy Orton has and Owens could target another WWE veteran after he’s finished with Cena.

Both Orton and Owens are unique personalities, which means any feud between the two will be one to keep an eye on and the matches should also be to a high standard. Kevin Owens is the big talking point right now, and Orton needs to use his popularity to get his name back out there.

Another superstar who is incredibly talented but is finding it difficult to remain right at the top, even though he probably deserves it more than others. The way things are working out, we could be heading for a short feud between Kane and Dean Ambrose which again, is something not a lot fans want to see but having Ambrose on television and in a feud is better than nothing.

Dean Ambrose needs something to work with, Randy Orton needs something to work with. They are both huge names in the WWE, very popular amongst the WWE Universe so there probably won’t be any more harm done having the two work in a programme together.

If the WWE throw something in there for the two to fight over, it could be a good start to a potentially entertaining feud.

This one needs to happen sooner or later, but the time-frame is the problem here. The WWE are still behind Roman Reigns and the last thing they would want is to cut short the feud between Wyatt and Reigns which does neither superstar any favours.

The personalities and characters or both superstars is a great match, Wyatt taking on Orton would certainly be something fans could be interested in as long as they keep the faith in Bray Wyatt which doesn’t really seem to be the case right now.

We saw a great feud between John Cena and Bray Wyatt, hopefully one day the same can be said for Wyatt and Randy Orton.
