Chelsea centre-back Andreas Christensen is stalling over a new Stamford Bridge contract amid growing fears that his burgeoning career will continue to stall in west London. Jose Mourinho is eager to tie the Danish defender down to a long-term deal before allowing him to join Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach on a season-long loan. Christensen is keen to test himself in Germany as he looks to ascertain regular first-team football, but appears reluctant to commit himself to the Premier League champions if opportunities are going to be limited. The 19-year-old has made two senior appearances for the Blues to date, after making his debut in a League Cup clash against Shrewsbury Town last October. However, the talented teenager found more minutes difficult to come by and that’s why he is believed to be considering his future at Chelsea.
