So for those of you that don't know what FIFA is (where have you been?!?!), it's the biggest football computer game. It's been going for years, since mid-90s, and is still going strong now on all gaming platforms.
Now on FIFA, each team and each player has ratings. The teams are rated out of 100 and based on their defence, midfield and attack, whilst players are rated on all range of attributes.

We won't just lob all the best players into the team, although when you see the stats, you will probably think we have done that.
So here is a starting XI from FIFA 2006. In the brackets will be the player's FIFA rating out of 100.
Dida (90), Cafu (90), Nesta (90), Stam (93), Maldini (92), Pirlo (89), Gattuso (87), Seedorf (90), Kaka (92), Shevchenko (94), Vieri (89).

AC Milan 2015

Lopez (83), De Sciglio (76), Alex (82), Rami (79), Armero (73), Montolivio (81), El Shaarawy (80), Bonaventura (79), Honda (79), Torres (81), Pazzini (77).
That is the best team you could put together with a realistic formation and with players in their appropriate positions.
An average rating of just 79, which is 12 ratings below what the average was nine years ago. AC Milan's fall from grace is visible on the pitch in real life, but also visible on the pitch on computer games as well.
