Paris Sant-Germain could swoop for Manchester United midfielder Angel di Maria this summer, according to Le Parisien.
The report claims that the French moneybags will turn their attentions to the Argentine international in the upcoming transfer window, with the superstar duo of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi looking to stay on at their respective clubs.
It appears, then, that PSG are free to splash the cash in this transfer window after previous restrictions, however they won't be landing either of the top two players in world football.

But that could lead them to Manchester United's Di Maria, who endured a tricky debut campaign on English soil under the guidance of Louis van Gaal.
The playmaker, of course, failed to hold down a regular role in the club's starting XI throughout the course of the season, meaning he could now leave Old Trafford behind sooner rather than later.

PSG in the mix
It was well documented that PSG were in the market for the Argentine last summer, however FFP seemingly scuppered the deal, but it may well be different this time round.
It's uncertain as to whether the Red Devils hierarchy will allow the former Real Madrid man to move on, but it certainly appears that PSG are intent on securing the player's services, with the same report claiming that they've made the midfielder their top transfer priority.
But is the time right for Di Maria to leave Manchester behind?
Stay at United
Ok, so his first campaign in the Premier League didn't exactly go to plan, but he may well feel that he has a point to prove. United fans will certainly take heart from the player's performances at the Copa America in Chile, where he has inspired Argentina to the final of the competition.
If he manages to return to United with a new lease of life, then there's no reason why he can't act as the club's talisman, as they go in search of trophy success.
Ultimately, Van Gaal must play his part, too. The Manchester United boss must hand the midfielder a permanent role in his side. Last season, throughout the player's struggles, he moved from position to position, failing to find his best form for the club.
Next season, though, may well be different, as the Red Devils chief goes about finding a balance for his side. One thing's for sure, it looks set to be a huge season for the Argentine superstar, and he'd be foolish to give up on Old Trafford already.
