Six weeks ago the women of NXT made history as they competed in one of the most competitive and iconic women's matches of this generation.
Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch tore the house down at NXT: Takeover - Unstoppable in a match that is fast becoming the measuring stick for all future women's matches in both WWE and NXT.
Sasha retained the NXT Women's Championship but the match awarded Becky the respect from the fans that she had been working towards over her NXT career. But it looked like Sasha had come out of the match worse for wear.

Lynch's arm bar finisher looked like it had tore some muscles in the champions arm and when she was not a part of NXT tapings the following week, it looked like she was injured. But it was Becky that came out of the match injured.
The Irish superstar has been grinning and continuing to compete despite a hip flexor injury that she sustained over a month ago, but finally she has admitted that she needs to take time out to recover because wrestling with it has made it worse.
Becky will only have to take several weeks off and miss perhaps two rounds of NXT tapings in the process, but the fiery diva had a message for Sasha Banks on her return.
“It’s given me more motivation than ever, so believe me when I say, when I come back I'm going for that NXT Women’s Championship, and this time there’s going to be a different ending. This is just the start of N-Bex-T.”
Main Roster Calling?
This means another showdown between the two main event calibre divas could be on the cards in the coming weeks as Sasha steps closer to her main roster call up along with Charlotte and WWE look to Becky to lead the NXT Women's division in her absence.
The women of NXT will not be represented at The Beast in the East event in Tokyo, Japan on Saturday, which airs at 10:30am UK Time. Instead WWE have gone for a triple threat for the Divas Championship which will see Nikki Bella defend against Paige and Naomi in a replay from the match at Elimination Chamber.
NXT will instead be represented in the main event as Kevin Owens defends the NXT Championship against Finn Balor as the fellow Irish Superstar looks to become the biggest superstar in NXT after he was the first superstar to pin Owens on NXT in last night's main event when he teamed with Samoa Joe against Owens and Rhyno.
