It was the biggest controversy in WWE in 2014, the departure of CM Punk is still having effects on the company over a year later.
Punk left shortly after the 2014 Royal Rumble and has not been seen on WWE TV since that night without a single word being spoken about him on the shows.
A new challenge
Although the issue of Punk was discussed on one of Stone Cold's podcasts with Vince McMahon, the WWE Universe are still hungry for answers.
In a controversial move however, Punk has done the same move Brock Lesnar did in the early 2000's by going from the WWE to the UFC.
Everyone was wondering just how Punk would adjust from the squared circle to the octagon but if UFC President Dana White is to be believed, it could be something to witness.
White was talking about the former WWE Champion and has given some insight into his training regime ahead of his highly anticipated first ever UFC fight.
"He actually just moved to Milwaukee so he could be closer to training and he's committed to this thing. Guy's an absolute stud and a joy to work with. He's looking phenomenal." - White on Punk's training
Punk's move to Milwaukee was highly publicised and everyone is waiting for the announcement of his first fight.
White did however comment on when we may see Punk enter the octagon for the first time.
"His deal is he can call me, when he's ready to fight he calls me... And it's on man, I'm thinking early next year."
Could we be set to see Punk enter the octagon early in 2016?
His first fight is sure to bring some new fans to the business as WWE fans will surely want to see how one of the most popular stars to leave ever will fare in his new career.
