Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has turned down the chance to join Turkish giants Besiktas in a reported £7 million deal because he doesn't want to uproot his family to an unfamiliar country.
According to talkSPORT the 31-year-old is unwilling to listen to any proposal from the Super Lig outfit as he has no interest whatsoever in moving to the Ataturk Olympic Stadium.
Van Persie's future has been the subject of widespread speculation after seemingly falling out of favour with Louis van Gaal towards the end of 2014/15, and with just 12 months remaining on his £250,000-a-week Red Devils contract a transfer away from Old Trafford is possible.

Van Gaal is allegedly on the lookout for another marksman during the summer window following the conclusion of Radamel Falcao's uninspiring season-long loan deal at the Theatre of Dreams.
And, if the former Arsenal captain was to leave the Premier League giants as well then they'd be left with Wayne Rooney as the only recognised senior striker.
Javier Hernandez suffered a broken collarbone whilst on international duty with Mexico that means he will be sidelined for the start of the new campaign, and academy product James Wilson is still not quite ready for a regular place in the starting XI.
Besiktas wanted to acquire Van Persie as a replacement for ex-Chelsea talisman Demba Ba after he moved to China to join Shanghai Shenhua at the end of last season.
Senol Gunes was waiting for Manchester United to announce a signing before making his move for the Netherlands international, but now he'll be forced to consider alternative options after the player flatly refused to meet them at the negotiating table.
Of course, there is a chance that he could stay and fight for his place in the Red Devils team next term, but then without signing an extension he could leave the club on a Bosman free transfer next year.
