We are into the second day of NBA Free Agency and millions of dollars are still being handed out left, right and center.

Frenetic FREE AGENCY

Kevin Love, Damian Lillard and Anthony Davis are all set for life after signing deals worth over $100M to stay at their current teams for the long term, while Goran Dragic, Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler all got very close to breaking three figures themselves.

The New York Knicks came into free agency with high hopes of landing themselves a big star to help turn around the franchise. That hasn't happened. However, the Knicks have finally signed someone.

Lopez In

According to a report from the always on the ball Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the Knicks have completed the signing of former Portland Trail Blazers center Robin Lopez on a four-year, $54-million deal.

"The Knicks are finalizing a four-year, $54 million agreement with free agent center Robin Lopez, league sources tell Yahoo Sports," Woj tweeted out today.

Lopez will make the Knicks a lot better and the 27-year old should be a central part of the team for the entirety of his four-year deal, lining up alongside Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis in the front-court.

This isn’t the big splash most Knicks fans wanted, but at least they’re going in the right direction. Considering the Knicks lose their first-round pick next year, the only potential harm is the long-term salary commitment.

Phil Jackson and the Knicks may have not been able to land a real star but a player like Lopez will definitely help fill the talent void on the roster. Also, he fights mascots. So there's that.

The Knicks have brought in Lopez just a day after they were brutally rejected by two-time All-Star David West. West went on record yesterday that he would absolutely not be joining a terrible Knicks team that has no chance whatsoever of being a legitimate NBA title contender come the post-season.

The Knicks have rebounded nicely from that setback.
