Diego Costa admits he would love to see his former Atletico Madrid teammate Arda Turan join Chelsea this summer.
Arda is expected to leave the Vicente Calderon within the next few weeks, having said his goodbyes to the Atletico fans, with Barcelona and Manchester United currently at the front of the queue to sign the Turkey international.
Chelsea have also been linked with the 28-year-old - it’s understood Arda would relish the chance to join the Blues in order to work under Jose Mourinho - and Costa hopes the transfer happens, partly because he was such a big fan of the winger’s kebabs.

"It would be fantastic,” Costa told Turkish daily Begun, according to Spanish newspaper AS. “Arda makes everything so much easier out on the pitch. Arda, Filipe and I function perfectly.
“And Arda is such a great person. He invited us to eat at his house many times; I really liked his kebab. The whole team would go round to his house for dinner.”
Chelsea must first sell Cuadrado or Willian
As well as Filipe Luis and Diego Costa, Arda’s former Atletico teammates Thibaut Courtois and Radamel Falcao are also at Stamford Bridge, making a move to the west London club even more appealing to the technically-gifted right winger.
It’s understood that Turan has reached an agreement over personal terms with Barcelona and Manchester United but is holding out for a move to Chelsea.
However, Mourinho is only likely to sanction a move for Arda if either Juan Cuadrado or Willian leave Stamford Bridge beforehand.
