Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has been urged to join Manchester United this summer by former France national team boss Raymond Domenech. The 63-year-old tactician is a big admirer of Ronald Koeman’s star player and thinks a move to Old Trafford would strengthen his chances of being involved at Euro 2016. Arsenal and Tottenham have also been mooted as admirers of Schneiderlin but according to Domenech the Red Devils represent the best possible option as he looks to finally end his seven-year stay at St Mary’s. Playing in the Champions League is a must for the 25-year-old this year as he looks to rival Paul Pogba, Blaise Matuidi and Maxime Gonalons for a place in Didier Deschamps’ midfield. Saints have qualified for the Europa League to give Schneiderlin his first taste of European football, but Domenech wants him to aspire to play higher by linking up with Louis van Gaal’s squad.
