It is the story which has divided opinion between not only fans of the Florida State Seminoles fans, but pretty much everyone with a moral center.
It has brought more trouble to an FSU quarterback but for once, it isn't the now Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston.
Worst of them all?
Quarterback De'Andre Johnson was involved in an altercation with a woman at a night club in Tallahassee.
In a case which bares a striking (pardon the pun) resemblance to the case which saw former Baltimore Ravens runningback Ray Rice evicted from the NFL, Johnson is now going through the legal ramifications.
The 19 year old was involved in the altercation at Yianni's Nightclub in Tallahassee, Florida and it may have brought a very premature end to his football career.
The video of the incident has recently been released by the State Attorney's office and it shows the dramatic events as they unfold.
The video clearly shows that Johnson was actually hit by the woman first who punched the former FSU quarterback in the face.
Johnson however then responds in kind and leaves the women with a black eye, swelling, a cut on her nose and her bleeding over the bar.
As a result of the events, Johnson has been suspended from the FSU team indefinitely and is currently working his way through community service.
The whole issue seems to have arisen after Johnson pushed into the woman whilst attempting to reach the bar.
The issue has divided opinion in America with many feeling that Johnson was defending himself after he was struck first.
Meanwhile everyone else feels that Johnson shouldn't have the young lady at all despite her striking first.
Whatever side you come down on the issue, it has all but assured that Johnson won't be making it as a professional football star.
Not making it to the NFL
Former Baltimore Ravens runningback Ray Rice is still struggling to find an NFL team willing to take him after his past with domestic violence.
Rice has been re-instated to the long for the better part of a year now and still, no team is willing to take a risk on him.
Seeing how Rice is being shunned by NFL teams sends a message for what NFL teams would view Johnson like should he ever enter the Draft.
