If you’re a diehard Chelsea fans you’ll have heard all about Brazilian starlet Kenedy, and probably how he’s about to sign for the Blues.
The fact that he’s been ‘poised’ to put pen to paper for the past few months has likely been enough to have all fans scratching their heads as to why a deal hasn’t been done yet, but don’t fret, it appears the end is finally on the horizon.
Differing reports this morning claim that the 19-year-old is in London to have his medical, with some sources stating that he’s already passed it.
In any case the announcement of his signing is just around the corner, and he’ll join the Brazilian contingent already at Stamford Bridge, although he will be sent out on a season-long loan to continue his development.
From there it remains to be seen whether or not he can fight his way into Mourinho’s plans, though the tenacious pursuit Chelsea have been forced to undertake as a result of his situation in Brazil is testament to their obvious desire to see him succeed.
From a little known player to one who can’t stay out of the limelight of late, Raheem Sterling has reportedly infuriated Liverpool fans by refusing to go on the club’s pre-season tour.
It’s well known that the England international wants to move this summer, with Chelsea one of his best placed suitors.
Just where Sterling would fit into Mourinho’s plans remains to be seen, with the likes of Eden Hazard, Oscar and Willian all good options in the attacking midfield berths in the Blues’ starting XI. We’ll let the Special One sort that riddle out.
Turan no Chelsea talks
Last but not least Arda Turan’s agent has confirmed that he and his client were never in talks with Chelsea over a transfer that would have seen the Turkish star move to the Premier League.
Turan was yesterday announced as Barcelona’s latest signing, but it’s since been made clear that it makes little or no difference to Mourinho’s transfer plans.
