Manchester United have confirmed that their latest signing Memphis Depay will be officially unveiled at a press conference on Friday.
The Dutch winger, who the Red Devils paid £31 million to sign from PSV Eindhoven earlier this summer, is expected to be joined at the press conference by his manager Louis van Gaal.
Van Gaal will take questions from reporters for the first time since the end of last season, before flying out to the United States with his squad on Monday for the club’s pre-season tour.

Manchester United also hope to have deals tied up for Torino right-back Matteo Darmian - a fee has been agreed - and Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin before the start of next week.
Darmian’s signing is understood to be imminent but it’s unclear whether the Italy international could join Depay at the press conference on Friday if he signs in time.
Depay signing has excited United fans
In any case, Manchester United fans will be eager to hear from Depay, who has been training with his new teammates at the Aon Training Complex for the first time this week.
The 21-year-old, who scored 28 goals in 40 appearances for PSV last season, isn’t short of self confidence and has the utmost belief that he will succeed at Old Trafford.
He was seen wearing the No. 26 on his training shorts earlier this week - sparking rumours that he will take the shirt number previously worn by the likes of Shinji Kagawa, Gabriel Obertan and Manucho - but Manchester United tweeted on Tuesday to confirm that an announcement over official squad numbers will be made closer to the start of the season.
Depay is expected to make his first appearance for Manchester United on July 17, when the Red Devils take on Club America in Seattle.
Four days later United go head-to-head with San Jose Earthquakes in California, before two showpiece friendlies against European champions Barcelona and French champions Paris Saint-Germain.
Similarities with Nani
For many USA-based Manchester United fans, Depay will be the star attraction.
The Dutchman has taken the place of Portugal international Nani, the talented but inconsistent winger whose playing style bares similarities to that of Depay.
David de Gea could also miss Manchester United’s pre-season tour if his move to Real Madrid is completed over the next few days. El Confidential have reported today that a €40 million fee has been agreed, while the Spanish goalkeeper will sign a six-year deal worth €5 million-a-year.
