Steven Gerrard had his first training session with his new team, LA Galaxy, this week.
The Englishman moved to the MLS side this summer after being released from his boyhood club Liverpool.
The 35-year-old will play alongside former Premier League and Liverpool team-mate Robbie Keane, as Galaxy aim to retain the MLS Cup.
Gerrard has said that former England team-mate David Beckham helped him come to a decision to move to Galaxy.
He will wear the number eight shirt, a number he became so familiar with during his time at Liverpool.
Gerrard's move to move to Galaxy came about after he rejected a one-year deal with the Reds. The move was announced in last January.
So far, Galaxy have achieved 31 points from 21 games this season, and one point separates them from the top of the Western Conference.
