Manchester United fans, the day of transfer reckoning is upon us.
We’ve described it as that as Matteo Darmian’s transfer is expected to go through today, as well as Memphis Depay’s official unveiling. The more optimistic amongst you might think other deals could be processed before the weekend, but we won’t hold our breath.
That’s not to say we’re not serial offenders when it comes to the game of Chinese whispers that is played every time the transfer window is open. In fact we pride ourselves at passing on the breaking gossip so you can decide for yourselves whether it’s relevant or not. With that in mind you’ll never guess what we’ve done below...

And they're off!
United supporters are waiting with baited breath to see what unfolds over the course of the transfer window but Louis van Gaal is desperate to get most of his business done sooner rather than later, according to reports.
The latest claims suggest the Dutchman is keen to sell both Robin van Persie and David de Gea before his squad depart on their pre-season tour on Monday. Van Persie is thought to be close to securing a move to Turkey, with De Gea’s links to Real Madrid needing no introduction.
Two first-team players, two potentially massive exits. Will they happen in the next few days? We’ll have to wait and see, though it does seem logical that Van Gaal wants to know exactly who will be in his squad for next season as he prepares whilst on tour.
The idea of both Van Persie and De Gea leaving isn’t ridiculous in the slightest, so we’re going to give this rumour the platform it deserves. Thoughts? Stick’em in the comments box below.
No love for Diafra
In more pressing news fans have reacted to the potential interest in West Ham’s Diafra Sakho, and they are no happy.
Unsurprisingly reports highlighting the London-based forward as Van Persie’s replacement haven’t gone down well.
The general consensus is that Van Gaal should be aiming his sights higher than that, but then most of the opinions are coming from people whose management experience is confined to the realms of Football Manager.
Van Persie and the betrayal
Moving back to popular territory it’s been speculated that Van Persie is willing to leave Old Trafford this summer as he feels betrayed by Van Gaal.
It’s a huge claim, no question, but one that centres around the idea that the forward believes he was partly responsible for Van Gaal getting the United gig in the first place.
What’s more he thinks he’s being forced out. Needless to say Van Gaal probably won’t be on his Christmas card list from now on.
