The Blues announced the news via their official website, on which they thanked the 22-year-old for his service and wished him luck for the rest of his career.

The former England Under-21 international was once widely regarded as one of the most talented players to emerge from Chelsea’s youth system for years, but the technically-gifted midfielder has regressed over recent seasons.
He made his Chelsea debut at the tender age of 17, back in 2010, and subsequently became the first player born after 1992 - the year the tournament’s format was changed - to appear in the Champions League.

McEachran's fall from grace
McEachran further enhanced his burgeoning reputation by helping Chelsea win the FA Youth Cup in 2010 and went on to make 17 appearances for the Blues during the 2010-11 campaign.
The season after, however, he made just five appearances in all competition for Chelsea and failed to make an impact with Swansea City on loan.
The subsequent years saw him loaned to Middlesbrough, Watford, Wigan Athletic and Vitesse, where he made 21 appearances last season.
But Brentford have snapped up the midfielder, who will now have the chance to get his career back on track away from Stamford Bridge.
Fans split over the news
Chelsea fans appear to be divided over the news, with some pleased McEachran has been moved on and others concerned that the club have failed to get the most out of this unquestionably talented youngster.
Below are some of the reactions for fans in support of the deal.
And now for some of the tweets from fans who feel Chelsea have messed up.
It seems Mourinho rates Ruben Loftus-Cheek, 19, as a more promising midfielder than McEachran - hence the Portuguese coach’s willingness to allow the latter to leave the Bridge.
Loftus-Cheek made four appearances for the Blues last season and is expected to be used on an increasingly regular basis throughout the upcoming season.
