Victor Valdes is in talks with newly promoted Turkish side Antalyaspor, according to the club's press officer Hasan Ali Ceylan.
The relatively unknown club have been making a name for themselves this summer, already agreeing deals for both Ronaldinho and Samuel Eto'o.
They have now set their sights on signing another former Barcelona star in the form of Valdes and, if Ceylan is to be believed, are very close to agreeing a transfer deal.

"We are in talks with Victor Valdes," he told Eurospor TR. "Once an agreement is reached, we will be able to sign yet another world star to Antalyaspor."
This news will come as a shock to most Manchester Untied fans, who are already expecting to see David de Gea walk out of the Old Trafford exit door for Real Madrid.
Valdes was expected to be a contender for the No.1 jersey if and when De Gea leaves but it now seems as if his short, six-month stay in Manchester is set to come to and end.
However, while several publications have chosen to run these quotes, it would be wise to err on the side of caution for the time being.
Pinch of salt
Antalyaspor have already proven themselves capable of signing big name players this summer, but signing a 34-year-old Eto'o and a 35-year-old Ronaldinho is a different prospect to signing an international goalkeeper supposedly still in his prime.
Not only that, but it would be foolish for Louis van Gaal to allow Valdes to leave the club when the future of De Gea is so uncertain.
Valdes would not conjure much of a transfer fee and his presence in the squad is surely worth more to the Red Devils than his monetary value.
