Chelsea fans have witnessed a quiet transfer window so far. Radamel Falcao has been signed on loan from AS Monaco and Asmir Begovic has arrived from Stoke City, but beloved Petr Cech has made the move to north London to join Arsenal.
Jose Mourinho will be hoping to make better use of the time remaining in the transfer window and it seems like he is up to something good.

With Manchester United also involved in the race to sign the German, Mourinho will want to secure the youngster right away.
Here are some of the pros and cons to Gotze's transfer and his ability to perform within this Chelsea side.

Mario Gotze is known for being a threat on the counter attack. The German international is a real danger to teams that are slow to defend counter attacks because he brings pace and has the ability to time his runs well and be in the right place at the right time.
We've seen him run into space on the counter just to lay the ball off to a teammate which then results in a goal from a lightning quick counter.
Gotze is also a versatile player that can play wide or through the middle. Versatility is an advantage in attacking players because they have the ability to switch wings or even slot into the number 10 position when needed. This helps in breaking opponents' rhythm as well as in making sure they never know what to expect from a player.
Jose Mourinho is a manager that demands his attacking players are capable defenders, and while there is no doubt Gotze is a wonderful player, he isn't much of a defender.
If signed by Chelsea, the German will need to improve quickly in this aspect if he desires to become a part of Mourinho's starting XI.
Gotze isn't the largest of players either and doesn't have an imposing figure. His aerial ability is lacking and in a Chelsea team full of tall and strong players, this weakness may be exposed. Just another thing Gotze will have to improve upon.
What do you think? Would Mario Gotze be a good signing for Chelsea?
