Balor won the title at the recent Beast in the East special and many expected that to be the end of Owen's time on NXT.

However he will return to challenge for the title next month and many people feel that may be because of the lack of top stars still on the roster.

However it now appears that one of the injured NXT stars could be set for his return as Alex Riley has posted a video of himself in the gym on his Instagram page.

Riley hasn't been seen since May when he left to undergo knee surgery but it now appears he is ready for his return.

Showing his return to the gym, Riley has got fans once again discussing the possibility of him climbing back into the ring.

Riley recently returned to the ring after working as an announcer on NXT but was provoked by Owens and came back seeking vengeance.

Who knows what Riley will be returning to as NXT is currently undergoing a massive overhaul with a new champion.

All set for Takeover

The NXT Championship match between Balor and Owens is curretly the only match announced for the Takeover special in Brooklyn.

However stars such as Tyler Breeze, Charlotte, Sasha Banks and Samoa Joe have all been advertised for the event.

One match that is expected to happen is for the NXT Tag team championships as the champions Blake and Murphy are expected to defend their titles against the Vaudevillains.

This past week on NXT, the Vaudevillains defeated Enzo and Cass to become the #1 contenders for Blake and Murphy's titles.
