Angel Gomes could be a future Manchester United superstar

Angel Gomes is a name Manchester United fans won't be familiar with - but they may well be in the future.

The 14-year-old is already on the books at Old Trafford, plying his trade for the club's academy. He signed after impressing whilst on trial with the club's U17s.

The Portuguese starlet is the latest prospect to be featured by FFDTV online, who have showcased some of the best talent currently playing in England on their YouTube channel.

Gomes is no exception, with 95 seconds of stunning close control and dribbling whilst in the focus of the camera. The big question, of course, is whether or not he can do it on the pitch.

If Gomes is to get anywhere need the Louis van Gaal's first team at Old Trafford, he still has a long way to go. His first job will be to impress at junior levels, working towards the U18s and development squad.

Making progress

The son of former Portuguese striker Gil, only time will tell as to whether he can stand out as part of the Red Devils' U15 side. An exciting prospect, the teenager is not able to sign professional terms until his 17th birthday.

Manchester United supporters will be wise to follow his progress further after the release of this particular video.
