Last night WWE fans witnessed what many are calling the re-birth of the Divas division as no less than three NXT stars made the step up to the main roster.
Becky Lynch, Charlotte and reigning NXT Divas champion Sasha Banks all appeared on Monday Night Raw as Stephanie McMahon issued an onslaught on the Bella Twins.
Change of plan
The segment has gone down extremely well with the WWE Universe but now a new report has revealed that, had it not been for some other exceptional talented female athletes, fans would still be waiting for the "Divas Revolution."

According to PWInsider, the original plan had been for the trio of NXT stars to be held back from making an explosive début on the main roster until closer to the huge SummerSlam pay-per-view event in August.
But, spotting a potential opportunity, the WWE hierarchy opted to bring forward their arrival to this Monday because of the United States Women's Soccer Team's recent World Cup success and the feel good factor it has encouraged concerning female sport.
The USWNT have been treated to an amazing welcome by the nation after returning from Canada with the World Cup trophy.
Thousands of fans have packed the New York streets just last week to show their support and clearly the WWE are hoping an influx of new, young Divas at this time can ride on the coattails of such success.
Taking their chance
The three rising stars certainly did their bit to keep that momentum going. If the débuts of Lynch, Charlotte and Banks are anything to go by then there is certainly an exciting future ahead for female wrestling on the big stage.
All three female stars got over very quickly with the WWE crowd in Atlanta and the reaction from fans and former wrestlers on social media was equally as positive.
The feeling is that the Divas division has been stagnating for some time now with the Bella Twins ruling the roost.
Injecting some enthusiasm and young talent into the mix will certainly mix things up moving forward and, although the WWE now have a little longer than first anticipated to maintain feuds before SummerSlam, the arrival of Lynch, Charlotte and Sasha Banks couldn't have come at a more perfect time.
