Turkish fans raising money for young Man United fan to see his hero

Robin van Persie’s transfer from Manchester United to Fenerbahce has not gone down well with everyone…. A video of young Louis Diamond in hysterics at the news was posted on Twitter by his dad four days ago.

The video went viral, receiving over 100,000 views, with many feeling sorry for the young United fan from  and according to Manchester Evening News a fundraiser has been set up in Turkey so the four-year-old can see his favourite player in action.

A hotelier called Ragip Ilas Altun has offered to put Louis and his family up during their stay in Turkey, while the crowdfunding campaign has already raised $970 of the $2000 required for the flights.

Van Persie’s first game for his new club could be their season opener against Eski┼čehir Spor and if Altun gets his way, he would like the young United fan to meet the Dutch star.

The local newspaper also spoke Sam, his father and uploader of the video, who said: “"As cruel as it may seem I couldn't resist getting the phone out.

"My wife and I can't wait to show it to him in 10 years time when he can laugh along to it...

"He’s blissfully unaware he’s become an internet sensation,” added the Tooting resident.

"As far as he knows we've shown the video to a few of his friends, so he’s pretty famous in his own back yard."

We are sure Louis would have had a smile on his face when he saw the new signings made by Louis van Gaal yesterday.
